Achievements of MCUT
  1. All the Departments and Graduate Institutes have passed the certifications of IEET (Institute of Engineering Education Taiwan) and ACCSB (Accreditation of Chinese Collegiate School of Business), showing that the University’s educational system is on the international track.
  2. In the 2017 “Best Universities Rankings” released by Global Views, MCUT ranked number one among the private colleges/universities of technology in Taiwan, in all categories except medical and nursing schools.
  3. The average amount of subsidies per student at MCUT received from MOE has led other funded technological universities for years.
  4. MCUT, which has been awarded certificates of information security management system (ISMS) ISO-27001, and environmental management system (EMS) ISO-14001 every year, is an outstanding technological university with excellent traditions and achievements.
  5. Between 2006 and 2017, Ming Chi was honorably granted $547 million NT dollars by MOE University Teaching and Learning Excellence Project. The average grant for each student is the highest in the whole country.
  6. MCUT’s “Steel Industry Program” was offered in 2017 by Formosa Ha Tinh Steel, Vietnam Hue and Da Nang University.
  7. The agreement of Dual Master Degrees of Engineering was signed by Ming Chi University of Technology and University of Cincinnati in 2016.
  8. In the 2015 Academic Ranking of Taiwan Universities/Colleges released by Tamkang University, MCUT ranked the first among all the private colleges/universities of technology. MCUT also ranked number one among the private colleges/universities of technology in the category of “the average amount of funding per project director of Industry-Academy Cooperation projects,” and number four among the colleges/universities of technology nationwide in the same category.
  9. MCUT passed the assessment in the 2016 Colleges/Universities of Technology Evaluation and Colleges/Departments Self-Assessment held by MOE.
  10. MCUT was selected by MOE as an excellent Health Promoting School in 2016.
  11. MCUT was awarded by MOE for its effort in waste reduction & recycling in 2016.
  12. MCUT was verified by Environmental Protection Department, New Taipei City Government of New Taipei City low carbon campus badge: Silver Goose badge certification.
  13. According to Web of Science, between 2014 and 2016, Ming Chi instructors and research staff’s numbers of papers-per-author published in SCI and SSCI Journals ranked number 3 in the “technological and vocational university/college” category.
  14. MCUT’s Corporate Social Responsibility Report (CSR) not only has passed AA1000 certification by British Standards Institution (BSI) in 2015 but was awarded the Silver Medal for non-profit organizations by Taiwan Institute for Sustainable Energy.

  16. In 2014, the Small and Medium Enterprise Administration has honored the University as one of the best incubation centers.
  17. In 2012, German iF Concept Award results demonstrate that Ming Chi ranked number 19 in the 'universities' category. Ming Chi was among the few universities in Taiwan to show the excellent performance.
  18. According to the 2011 Ministry of Education (MOE) Evaluation of Colleges of Technology, all units of Ming Chi (including university affairs, administrative offices, 3 colleges, 10 departments, and 11 graduate institutes) have received top ranks. This has been the best achievement ever made a university of technology.
  19. According to the MOE evaluation, Ming Chi’s Physical Education was rated the best nationwide in 2011.
